Prolog to the Meditation Log

So yesterday was the first day I've ever really meditated. I was a little apprehensive at first, unsure of what I was doing. I was scared I was going to get too distracted and not reap the benefits of practicing meditation. Now, first things first. Meditation itself is not just the practice of meditation. Meditation is a state of mind, an 'aha!' moment, of realization and the blossoming of intuition. It takes a lot of practice to get to the true state of meditation, but I've heard it's completely amazing and life changing once achieved, so for those of  you out there learning to meditate with me, KEEP AT IT! it's just like with anything else, practice makes perfect. Don't expect to become a Zen master because you meditated for 10 minutes everyday for a week. It will take patience, time, willingness, and a true desire to understand beyond what we can physically comprehend. It is best to meditate in early morning or late evening because that's typically when people have time, but do it whenever you're able to! Keep in mind you don't have to start out with 20 minute sessions. My session yesterday was all of 10 minutes and not only was I truly happy and calm all day, but I felt a sense of peace I hadn't felt in nearly two years, and it was so comforting. I am about to do my day 2 of meditation, I'm thinking a session between 10-15 mins, only because I can't keep focused much longer than that yet! Have a good day everyone!

May the Force be with You.
