I need to learn to stick with things
So this blog is supposed to be an outlet for me. A place to let my creativity thrive. In the beginning, I was so convinced that I would be dedicated enough to blog a lot and keep up with Meditation blogs, but I've been having some trouble. I'm going to do my best to post at least 2-3 times a week, including meditation blogs. Please stick with me!

5 Tips to Being the Best Girlfriend You Can Be
When we are in a relationship, we want to be happy, right? I mean, isn't that kind of what we seek in another person? Well let me tell you now that I'm not perfect, nor do I claim to be. However, I've been around the block a couple of times and I know some really good tips that you can try to become the best girlfriend you can be!
1.Boost His Ego
Men are naturally dominant. They like to feel in power and in control, and just like women like to be complemented, men do to! Tell him on a regular basis how awesome he is, how much you appreciate him, how smart he is, how good he is at something... etc. Confidence is really important in a relationship and when you make your man feel confident, you also make him feel secure and appreciated!
2. Respect His Space
As much as you love him and love spending time with him, he does need time to be with his friends, and so do you! When in a relationship, it's really easy to end up spending every single day with your significant other, but don't forget about all your friends who have had your back before your man was in the picture! Give him his own time as well to be with his guys and relax. A bonus, if he's not with you, he'll begin to miss you! Then the time you spend together after that will be more anticipated and exciting.
3. Be Careful of His Feelings
Although it's very true that men aren't nearly as emotional as women are, they have just as many feelings. Men don't typically express their feelings in the same way women do. In fact, most men never talk about their feelings. Although it's very important not to pry, ensure him that if he ever needs anyone to talk to or cry to or just needs a shoulder that you will be there for him! It might seem a little sappy, but I guarantee you he will take it to heart and appreciate it. Be careful what you say to him as well! Don't tease him, especially in front of his friends. In a good relationship, couples feel safe and secure in one another. Don't take away his dignity or humiliate him, because that is the easiest way to get him to break up with you!
4. Give Him What He Wants
As women, it's easy for us to take every matter into our own hands and take care of everything without letting your man get a word in edgewise! When it comes to making decisions, try asking him what HE wants. Knowing you care about what he wants will make him happy and feel empowered and feisty! Use it to your advantage. Plus, it feels good to our conscience to know we did something someone else wanted to for once.
5. Have FUN With Him!
It doesn't matter if you're 16 or 90, you are never too old to go have a fun time with your man! Keep in mind not everything you do has to be adult only. Go have old fashioned fun together! Go mini-golfing, go to a theme park, go on a picnic, a concert, drive in movie, or a hike, go camping... the possibilities are endless! Spending time is different than wasting time! Take charge of the valuable time you have with your man and make the most of it! No guy wants a girl who doesn't know how to have some fun!

Astrological Success!
So, I'm an avid horoscope reader (as in stay-up-EVERY-NIGHT-til-midnight-just- so-I--read-it avid) and I check my love horoscope with my boyfriends (yes, I DO have a boyfriend. He's a Taurus, I'm a Cancer) and it told me to take him some place in nature that would be serene and romantic, like a mini-getaway from the stress of everyday life and so I took him down a railroad track to a creek where my dad used to fish when he was a kid. Well, low and behold, not only was it beautiful and romantic, BUT Bradley (that's my bf) found some praying mantis pods, and he's been looking for some (because he's into agricultural and earth science) and he wasn't going to be able to order any until November. Do you know what that means? BEST. GIRLFRIEND. EVER. Read your horoscopes people!!! I recommend astro.com for horoscopes and for my iPhone people, download Daily horoscope. It's a red symbol with a black background.
Live Long & Prosper
Prolog to the Meditation Log
So yesterday was the first day I've ever really meditated. I was a little apprehensive at first, unsure of what I was doing. I was scared I was going to get too distracted and not reap the benefits of practicing meditation. Now, first things first. Meditation itself is not just the practice of meditation. Meditation is a state of mind, an 'aha!' moment, of realization and the blossoming of intuition. It takes a lot of practice to get to the true state of meditation, but I've heard it's completely amazing and life changing once achieved, so for those of you out there learning to meditate with me, KEEP AT IT! it's just like with anything else, practice makes perfect. Don't expect to become a Zen master because you meditated for 10 minutes everyday for a week. It will take patience, time, willingness, and a true desire to understand beyond what we can physically comprehend. It is best to meditate in early morning or late evening because that's typically when people have time, but do it whenever you're able to! Keep in mind you don't have to start out with 20 minute sessions. My session yesterday was all of 10 minutes and not only was I truly happy and calm all day, but I felt a sense of peace I hadn't felt in nearly two years, and it was so comforting. I am about to do my day 2 of meditation, I'm thinking a session between 10-15 mins, only because I can't keep focused much longer than that yet! Have a good day everyone!
May the Force be with You.

Okay, where do I begin?
Well, I literally have no idea what my future looks like. Everyone tells me it's bright and maybe I'm just young and confused but I have no clue what I'm going to end up doing. All I can do is dream, and do everything I can to accomplish my goals. Life is just a freaking drag though, isn't it? It's such a confusing time in my life, making mistakes, helping others, growing, living, learning... but sometimes it feels like everything I knew as a kid was a lie... how am I supposed to adjust so easily to that? Well here's my thing. I'm an avid horoscope reader, and I'm totally into astrology and the whole bit. (I mean, I DO want to study space) and so with that I have discovered meditation and have decided to pursue it. If you are wondering, yes I am a Christian, but not necessarily in a typical religious sense. I don't want to do this blog for me, but for everyone else out there just like me but totally different in your own awesome way because if we are all going to live on this planet then we might as well learn to help one another and get along and most importantly, love one another and find inner peace. I hope you follow my blog, and not just my blog, but my journey in this exciting chapter in my life
